New iPhone 2018 and iPhone X Plus |
Apple will call 2018 phones?
1.)IPhone 9 and iPhone 9 Plus
2.)IPhone X2
3.)IPhone X, iPhone X Plus,
iPhone X SE
4.)IPhone 11, iPhone 11 Plus
Three New 2018 iPhones:
1.)5.8in OLED: the successor
to the iPhone X, with largely same design.
2.)6.5in OLED: a Plus version
of the iPhone X, aka iPhone X Plus or XI Plus.
3.)6.1in LCD: a cheaper
iPhone with the same design as the X but slightly larger bezels ad an LCD
display.
Release date for the new iPhones:
After launching the first few
iPhones in June, Apple shifted to the early September time frame with the
iPhone 5 in 2012 and, apart from the off-cycle iPhone SE, has stuck to it
since. We expect the 2018 iPhones to be unveiled in September. This would be
one year after the iPhone 8 launched, and fits Apple's usual release calendar.
Features Can We Expect :
Design:
The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8
Plus offered a traditional iPhone design, and the iPhone X has the company’s
next-generation look and feel.Apple is planning to crush the design of the old
school in 2018 and instead of selecting the iPhone X-like design in all its
handsets next year. This means that the moot point will come on all the
handsets.
colors:
IPhones will be available in
black, white and gold. The 6.1-inch model will feature more colors — grey,
white, blue, red and orange.
Processor:
According to a report in BGR,
the chip will be known as A12 and the I11X and the iPhone 8 will provide much
more power than the A11 Fusion Chip in line. Bloomberg reported that the A12 is
undergoing mass production. It is a 7-nanometer chip instead of 10 nanometers
for A11, which allows more design flexibility.
iOS 12
Features:
This year's iOS 12 beta has
some clues about features Apple could be planning for its new phones.
Fast charging:
This is clearly changing with
this year's iPhone, because rumors claim that Apple plans to include a fast
charging accessory with new phones. The latest report comes from MacOkatara,
which claims that Apple will include a 18W charger with the new iPhone.
eSim support:
The primary advantage for
ESIM boards is that they can be re-programmed on air, allowing customers to
switch networks as desired.A report from Barron's claims Apple may be working
with a company known as STMicro to bring eSIM to its line of 2018
iPhones.STMICRO already supplies Apple Watch 3 with ESIM components, so there
is no way to suggest that they will do the same for Cupertino's next handset.
Faster LTE Connectivity:
Apple has clearly told its
manufacturing partners that they want to take advantage of better LTE chips.
This step, which was previously reported by McMumers, would mean that your 2018
iPhone will be able to offer fast connectivity to the wireless network.
new iPhones cost?
The new 5.8-inch model
replacing the current iPhone X would then feature an $899 price tag.
6.1-inch iPhone would cost a price tag between $700 and $800
